sOCIAL IMPACT ISN’T EASY — wE’RE HERE TO HELP.
Our mission is to create a more just and equitable world, where philanthropies and their communities are able to work together towards shared social and environmental goals. Where all voices have a seat at the table.
We partner with foundations, nonprofits and corporations to ask hard questions, learn from their mistakes and celebrate their successes.
We leverage deep expertise in social impact measurement, management and reporting to create effective social impact strategies, understand their effectiveness, tell their stories and support the sustainability of their social impact work.
We are woman-owned and -led, a boutique social impact consulting firm that values taking action, embracing complexity, telling stories, and building community. Our name comes from the grandmothers of founder Morgan Buras-Finlay, to honor their impact and the impact of all of the matriarchs and mothers who came before us. It's important for us to be grounded in our roots and our history as we work towards a brighter, better future.

Founder & PrincipalAs a seasoned and holistic social impact professional, Morgan knows firsthand that scaling meaningful change depends as much on the science of measurement as it does on the art of storytelling.
Morgan has been working in social impact since before it was cool - starting out with home-spun clothing drives and therapist booths ala Lucy from Peanuts. As her passion for helping others morphed into a career, she has worn many hats – social worker, clinician, researcher, program development and has occupied seats in nonprofit, foundations and corporate social responsibility. Through this, Morgan brings a broad ecosystem perspective, and has focused her sights on the places, people, and organizations who are positioned to make the biggest impact. She has worked with Federal government agencies, assessing the effectiveness of government policies implemented at the local level, led non-profit organizations helping them to craft their strategy and measure its effectiveness across a multitude of stakeholders, and has implemented scalable impact measurement and valuation initiatives in the tech sector, aligning social impact efforts to business objectives.
With a career spanning the corporate, tech, non-profit, and policy sectors, she brings an integrated lens to helping companies balance their business bottom lines with their mission goals. She has experienced firsthand how integrating impact is good–no, essential–for business.

In his more than 2 decades in the social impact measurement & evaluation space, Eric has seen firsthand how organizations effectively understanding their social impact can have a positive effect on thousands of lives. He understands that each point of data potentially represents a child, a person in need, a community.
Eric has worked as an internal evaluator for much of his career: from school districts to nonprofits to foundations to corporations. Regardless of the type of organization, there’s one thing Eric has seen throughout: the desire to tell the most accurate stories possible about their social impact. He has been able to use his extensive training and expertise in measurement & evaluation to help organizations do just that.
Eric also understands that creating the best evaluation report ever means nothing if it sits on a shelf gathering dust. He approaches his work with organizations with a utilization perspective, ensuring that his clients can answer “What? So what? and Now what?” so they can actually use what he creates.
A self-described “evaluation nerd,” Eric has written about the use of qualitative inquiry in evaluation, the development of evaluator competencies, and the emerging approach of LGBTQ+ evaluation. He also served on the Board of Directors of the American Evaluation Association from 2018 to 2020 and currently serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the American Journal of Evaluation.
